It's the last day of the month which means it's Foodie Pen Pals reveal day. I was traveling this month and got my package while I was gone, but I was so excited to get it as soon as I got home! Isn't real mail the best, ah how things change :)
Gia, my pen pal extraordinaire, was also very patient with me because I wasn't on top of my emails like normal and she put up with more than one delay on my account, so thanks! You can check out her blog here.
This month I received my first home-made treats! Home made granola that looked and smelled awesome! Chris tried it before me and said there might not be any left for me!
These dried apples are SO GOOD. I'd really recommend getting some, or getting an awesome pen pal like mine to send you some. I put them in my bag before work and they were perfect. Gotta love some pita chips!
Gia had such pretty stationary, I included it in the photo. Plus my favorite chocolate chips. Ginger candies, hello candies, I'm in! The true highlight and love affair of my goodie box was this cinnamon rugelach.
Look at the vegan pastry folks! It was so so so good, thank goodness she only sent me one box because I ate it in probably 2 days. This photo is a half eaten box because I'd already eaten so many I thought I'd better snap a photo before I forgot completely. They were so soft and sweet and cinnamon-y without tasting too overpowering. I loved them so much!
Thanks Gia so much!
I mailed a box of stuff to Megan. I was on vacation so Megan ended up with some cool stuff from a new area for me. Her blog is here.
Happy Month of July, Happy Eating!
Now, don’t you wanna join in the fun?! Here are the Foodie Penpals details:
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents. Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa.
